  • Adrian Espinosa, MPH, MS, RN, PHN, FNP-BC, President

    Adrian is the proud son of Mexican immigrants. His parents began working in the agricultural workforce of the Salinas Valley in the late 70’s, with the hope of providing both he and his sister an opportunity to excel in life and academia.

  • Jasmine Ruiz, MSN, RN, FNP-C, Secretary

    Jasmine Ruiz is a nurse practitioner currently working at Ravenswood Family Health Center in East Palo Alto, California. In 2018, Jasmine completed her MSN degree from Chamberlain University and received her Bachelor’s nursing degree from Samuel Merritt University in 2013.

  • Ana Michelle Rothhammer-Ruiz, MS, RN, FNP-C, Treasurer

    Ana’s root began in Oakland, California as a daughter of a Mexican immigrant mother and hard working Oakland Unified School district teacher. Ana was always exposed to her Mexican community and the drive to serve her community started early on.

  • Elizabeth (Liz) Aquino, PhD, RN

    Dr. Aquino is a proven nurse leader at the local, state, and national level, with over a decade in academia, including administration, she brings a wealth of knowledge, strong leadership experience, and innovative ideas to support a thriving environment for nursing students, faculty, and staff. Through her service on various boards she has helped elevate the nursing voice, advance the nursing profession, and impact health care in numerous ways. Dr. Aquino is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Nursing.

  • Jaylen Carmen, BSN, RN

    Jaylen worked as a new grad during the first wave of the pandemic on a Telemetry unit that eventually converted to a COVID-19 unit in a community hospital. She then transitioned to community health nursing and is working in isolation, COVID-19 testing, and vaccinations for the communities in Chicago.

  • Dr. Jackeline Biddle Richard

    Dr. Jackeline Biddle Richard is a registered nurse, attorney, educator, and higher education professional. She is the Senior Director of the Office of Student Affairs at the Hunt School of Nursing at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center- El Paso.
